PATH ANALYSIS COMPARATIVE STUDY USING SPSS AND LISREL

Abstract

This research is motivated by the desire to prove several statistical software in data processing and analysis, especially those using path analysis. The software used is SPSS and Lisrel. Whether SPSS can be used to perform path analysis and whether the results of SPSS analysis are similar to the results of the analysis using Lisrel.

The analysis process in this study uses path analysis using two statistical software and the results are compared to see the similarities and differences in the process and analysis results.

The results showed that in general there was no difference in the results of the analysis produced by the two software. But in the process there are differences especially in Steps and views. So it is recommended for users who want to choose statistical software, what needs to be considered is the software specification and mastery in its use as well as the desired results
